Look at Me
*
no word is hidden; no
love forgotten. we say we
can’t, we say don’t think
of me, but the memory
comes
at the bottom of the
broken hour. sitting naked
on the bed, the v of herself like
the sun shouting its name fearless
fearless in the great purpose of
its light, its fierce anger shouting
look at me, look at me
though we can’t
but
i do, blind in her flesh
burning in those wings
tumbling but
not
dead, that orchard
silken, receiving
me.
