Map of the Cherson

ChersonMap--rotate

It is with some trepidation that RT offers the above graphic. This map is one of the most recent (though 15 years old!) copies he has made of the world map that accompanies his novel about centaurs. It is offered in the hope that the scan/upload onto WordPress has left the image reasonably legible, and that it will help readers follow subsequent posts on the centaurs.

This map has ancestors that stretch back into RT’s pre-teen years. RT was a book-lover from early on, and nothing pleased him better than a book with a map on the end-papers; second best was having to flip through the book to find the map page. RT also showed an early visual streak that included some fun art lessons with a local artist.

RT is somewhat stunned that a project like this, perhaps his first creative project, is finally seeing the light of day; and he is aware that with Inkscape and other programs he may be able to enhance it. Of course, there is much else (and doubtless more pressing) to do, but RT will be doing a status check-in soon.

Enjoy!    RT

This could be the beginning of the story of my life, not to mention perhaps half the world’s population!

Intriguing, as all maps are, but even more intriguing is what you’ve missed out: scale (or have I missed that?) and roads (or perhaps these are ‘trackless wastes’). But the essentials are there: a body of water, mountains, forests, streams and territories. Looking good!
