Lost in Life (A Poem)

Lost In Life

the thumb drive i lost once

is gone again; so is the

black cat that can’t take

an order…

home is a hard thing to forget–

we keep returning, no matter

how wide the world, how

brave our adventure

we can’t turn back, only

return, bringing

the things we’ve learned

and loved, stray or

we keep trying, we

stand the blasts,

the blow &

the patient
